AQA Philosophy AS Level
Introduction to Philosophy (2)
The course aims to give students an insight into some of the problems which philosophers have debated over! Students will debate a variety of topics. These will include how we can know about the world around us and whether we can trust our senses. Students will also discuss why we expect people to follow a moral code. Is there a reason for this? Students will also discuss the logic and definitions philosophers use when discussing the idea of God.
The lessons will require students to debate and evaluate different ideas. Developing the skill of debating topics without necessarily reaching a definitive conclusion will be a difficult but essential skill to master.
