Population Change
In this unit students gain an understanding of how population changes, policies to control population growth, ageing populations and migration. There are four key ideas in this unit:
- Over time the global population increases and the population structures of different countries change.
- A range of strategies have been tried by countries experiencing rapid population growth.
- An ageing population impacts on the future development of a country.
- Population movements impacts on both the source regions of migrants and the receiving countries.
